Romania Trade Deficit Shrinks In December

Romania’s traffic necessity stood during EUR 850.6 million in December, narrower than a EUR 1.57 billion necessity available a year ago, a country’s Central Statistical Office pronounced upon Tuesday.
Exports surged 18.9% year-on-year in Dec to EUR 2.33 billion, whilst imports were down 9.9% to EUR 3.18 billion.
In full year 2009, exports decreased by 13.9% compared to 2008 as well as imports fell by 32.3%. A accumulative traffic necessity of EUR 9.74 billion was registered.
